What is Jazz?
This fun style combines upbeat, stylized movement with proper technique. Jazz dance is based on ballet principles with each class consisting of a warm up using isolated movements, across the floor progressions and current choreography all set to age appropriate music.
All of our K-12th grade classes will incorporate jazz into their weekly class curriculum. All classes will perform a jazz routine at our spring recital. Premier classes will compete a jazz routine.
TUMBLE TOTS
AGES 3-5
If your little one loves dancing to upbeat music, this snazzy introduction to jazz & acro class is perfect! Set to high-energy, age-appropriate music, dancers will learn the basics of jazz and acrobatics in a fun and engaging way. This class will focus primarily on acro fundamentals for the first part of the season and perform a jazz routine at the winter and spring recitals.
*It is highly recommended that dancers be in a Teeny Twist or Tiny Twirl class in addition to enrolling in Tumble Tots.

These classes are combo classes that include ballet, tap and jazz training within their scheduled class time each week. Dancers will perform a ballet and jazz or tap routine at our winter recital and a jazz and tap routine at our spring recital!
COMPETITION CLASSES
We offer Premier & Edge team classes for K-12th graders. Premier classes are a tap, jazz & ballet combo class that compete at 2 competitions. Edge team classes require an audition and selected dancers will train in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and have weekly technique classes.
